So I am sitting here thinking about all the feedback I have received regarding the blog and I guess the inception of Sapphire. Some good, some bad, and some just have nothing to say at all. I am amazed that most of the excitement has come from my younger sisters. I don't know why I am so surprised by it, I guess with youth comes zeal. But that zeal comes another level of accountibility for me (Adrienne). If you are with me then you know that I am going to Titus.
Paul admonishes us (the older women) to be reverant in behavior---- teachers of good things. Because of the nature and season of my leadership, I must examine and begin by asking myself, "what good thing am I teaching?" I have really taken the time to see where we are, what we are doing, where we are going, and how we are going to get there. (all in the weeks since our girls night out). I discovered some things about myself and about us that I didn't know. Ya'll we got issues. I have learned that there are 4 things that hinder us from becoming healthy and effective leaders: unresolved issues, unhealed hurts, unmet needs, and unrealisitic desires. If we are unable to effectively deal with these things, are we able to be the "teachers" that God has required? Never fear my dears! We shall and we will deal. In the weeks to come I pray that we will all begin to examine ourselves to see what is hindering us individually and collectively and when we come together (March 20-March22) we can begin to deal.

O yes...lets deal because issues we have..but mending is what we need! I believe AR that as we deal with the hinderances within ourselves and as a ministry we will grow. Closer to God, closer to who God has called us to be as individuals and closer as sisters in Christ. You know what you must do and know that we are following you as you follow Christ...
ReplyDeleteLet the healing begin!!!!
I agree and can't wait!
ReplyDeleteThis is so true. Just when you thought you have allowed God to deal/heal all past issues, He says nope there is more... I will be patience and wait for our weekend to come.

Yeah Kenyetta! I see you made it and I cant wait for our weekend either! Love You!
ReplyDeleteHealing is an important process in maturing and growing. It is never a fast process but a process that is very slow and takes time. Healing ahows you exactly what's being changed in you as well as takes you to new heights and understandings within yourself and spiritually. Healing must occur in ones self in order to help someone else heal as well! As God leads and tells you what needs to be changed in us, with us, and through us you lead us and tell us the same way Miss A!! Can't wait to see the person God is going to mold each and every one of us to be!!
ReplyDeleteChels, you deep... come teach with me....
